The Virtual Gourd Garden

Presoaking
great idea! The gardener who plans ahead can get a jump start on his/her Spring garden by presoaking their seeds.

How to Presoak your seeds:
Submerse your seeds in a jar of warm water for 24 hours. Then drain and spread evenly over a moist paper towel.
(* see footnote) Leave them in a warm spot for a few days. When rootlets appear, remove the seedlings from the moist paper towels and transplant into their own individual seedling pots. (Instructions for making your own Newspaper Sprout Cups can be found here. Press your "BACK" button to return to The Virtual Garden.)

(*It is easier to keep the towel moist by putting it in a plastic see-through baggie, but don't let the plastic touch the seeds.)
